hotter spark plugs
Hi,
I am currently running autolite 65's in my 454 and they came out black after just about 100 miles. I was wondering what would be a hotter spark plug to try next?
thanx

I havent checked that but everything is new with only about 700 miles on msd ignition and 6al box. I know the fuel mix is right as I had it tuned recently.

If it were me i'd be checking if the carb float is stuck.
Sounds like too rich a mixture to me.
I know,,,, I'll shut up an go back to my corner now.Got lots of chrome,
It's good for show,
But when I hit the gas,
The pig won't go!

What coil are you using. If your ignition is all MSD and it's working right your carb is almost for sure not right or having issues.
What carb do you run?
