ok please anyone that can help me needs to....i have a 454 4 bolt block that is 60 over with low commpression slugs and a stock cam. Stock hiperfpass heads that have seen NO work other than new springs and rockers (they are oval ports). the dist. is a summit brand hei, a 2.0 edelbrock intake, 750 demon carb, taylor wires. ok now for the problem....i did a few pulled against a freinds LS1 camaro and on the last one i backfired threw the carb....she ran really bad the whole way home....so the first thing i did was replace the power valve. went down the street and nothing changed. so i come back and hit it with the timing light and the timing is right on. so i rebuild the carb...still no change. then i start pulling plugs and every one is fouled...so new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, pcv valve.....go down the street backfireing and almost dieing...comke home and the plugs are soaked from my 2 minute venture down the street....its not gas on the plugs though...it doesnt seem to be oil but it doesnt seem to be anti-freeze...i KNOW it has to be one of the 2 though. so all i can think of know is a flat cam or burt valves....did a compression test and the compression is good...great actually considering the mileage. so know i am faced with pulling a head....but why is every plug wet after just running for seconds....but i am not running rich with a new carburetor tuned correctly... maybe a bad ring? but wouldnt that show weak commpression on that cylinder?.....so hit me with your ideas of whats wrong....because i am going crazy trying to find out what is wrong
