850 base plate on 750 Holley

I remember reading an old article where they used a 850 base plate on a 750 Holley. It added cfm while retaining responsiveness of the 750.

Can you just put the two together or does it require some modification?
Also, how much cfm does it add? I have a 4150, 4779-7
