    1988 Olds 307 mtr

I don't have to run emissions on this motor so I want to remove ALL the emission garbage. It has about 9 miles of vacuum tubing going to about 20 different electric emission hook ups along w/a Electric Q-jet & a none vacuum advance dist.

Other then removing all the vacuum garbage along with swapping out the carb(to non-electric) & dist(to vacuum HEI) is there anything special I should do like re-gap the plugs &/or change the timing???

    TIA.....joe

I would check the pre-81 specs on the olds V8 since you more or less converted it to that better era..
I remember when hot rods were all home made.

You will need to block off the ports on the heads above the manifolds,
Use a early model distributor, and use a regular carb Ive done this conversion and updated mine with an eldelbrock rpm intake and eledbrock carb 600 ran headers and blocked off heads like i mentioned.
But you are right theres miles of polution lines under those hoods
