    fuel cooler

The other day I was "thinkin" again and this idea came to me. I am shure it isn't new, but I have never seen anybody do it. So, has anyone on here every ran your fuel through a add-on trans cooler, or anything like that. I have seen the cool cans, but I wan't something that I can use all the time if I am going to mess with it. I would think that it would make for better HP and mileage.

My guess, Just A Guess, ... is that it wouldn't cool the fuel enough to do any good. The cooler would only cool to the ambient temp. of the air going through it. Cool cans are usually filled with ice.

O.K., somebody tell me how far off I am.

I could be wrong but i tend to agree with ya pro,a cool can has the fuel line spiraled in it and the can is filled with ice so with the cooler between the tank and the carb the fuel is already at ambient temp comin outa the tank so i dont "think" runnin through a finned cooler would do anything at all.

Well thanks for the replys I did know that you fill a cool can with ice and thats why I said that I wanted something that I could use everday. I was wondering if it would have time to actually cool it any. I think I will check mpg and put one on and check it again to see if it does make a difference.
