carb spacer v/s carb signal
Got my motor running 850 double pumper single plane intake and a 2 inch open spacer below the carb 472 cadillac big heads cam etc
the car now has a stumble/dead spot just off idle to about 2200 rpm. once past and on from about 3000 goes like crazy
could the spacer be affecting carb response and the fuel mix at at lower rpm Its a pretty big carb for the engine I know a single plane will raise the tourqe point but the spacer also may be doing the same along with affecting the carb signal.
I didnt think i could tune the bottom end out of it but may have done so.
Would removing the spacer lower the tourque peak and possibly make it more responsive.

You may need a bigger shot or bigger shooters. Play with the carb. There's no telling how a spacer will affect the motor until you bolt it on and try it, or unbolt it and try it. Each combination is different, so on some, the spacer helps, on others it can hurt.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
