problem with 3 duece set up

I bought a used offy intake manifold with 3 used 2G rochester carbs which I rebuilt. I wanted my intake plated so I contacted a company which does that and explained what I wanted. I also sent the carbs and fuel lines along(wanting to have the lines plated after explaing how I wanted them bent to match my fuel block style line). They said after platting that they had a shop to run the set up and would calibrate the carbs matching my small block. I received the intake and carbs back(looked great) and proceeded to put them on my engine. I wound up having to make a new linkage and having to cut my alternator bracket and rewelding it backwards so it would clear the front car. When I went to start it it wouldn't idle. After going through the obvious thing like filter, gas line. etc. with no difference, I took apart my center carb checking to see if my primieries were working and also checked to see if my float was set OK. Both were ok and when I tried to start it I had the same problem. I finally took my gas line off and blew through it, put it back on with the same problem. Next it was my fuel pump. That checked out ok. Your not going to believe what the problem was. I finally ran a new fuel line and it started and ran great. Took the bad line apart and found it packed withsand(rember I could blow though it). All I can think of is that the company who bent the lines packed them with sand so they wouldn't kink. I called the company up and asked them if they had run it like they said to which they said yep. I told them they were full of sh--!. I spent three days on something that shoud have taken me three hrs. Sand. You figure that!!!
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

All I can think is everyones in a hurry to make a buck these days, and quality and customer satisfaction is dumped.
