the only way the motor can idle up(when you dont wont it to) is theres extra fuel and air getting into your motor from somewhere. a vac. leak wont make the motor ldle up unless there some extra gas to go with it. take a screw driver and stick it down into the carb and tap on the butterfly, to see if its gotten off center or carbon build-up around it. dont hit it hard enough to bend it though. if theres no vac. leakes it has to be the carb and or linkage. make sure the choke high idle adj. screw is off all the way.
