Goodguys Ft. Worth
Who will be attending the Ft. Worth Goodguys event at the end of Sept.? Maybe some of the "Club" could get together and have a meal or just bench build etc. If so we could exchange cell num. or pick a spot/day.

I will be there during the day since I live 10 miles from the Speedway. But unfortunately I have a 20 year reunion to go to at night and my wife is making me go.
It would be great to meet some of the club. Keep an eye out for our sedan... http://www.clubhotrod.com/photopost/...00&ppuser=3666
and post a picture of your car so I know you when I see you.
See you there!

I will probably be going, but won't be driving the vette that far. With my 4:11 rearend I'd have to fill up twice just to get up there.

hi there, guys, 'scuse me butting in, but I've just spent a happy hour or two looking around your 'site. I'm a new member, and would like to thank you for allowing me to join you. I think I've found some of the most well informed, nicely put together information, comment and motors on the web, and I've been sitting here chuckling while getting an education. A month or two back I was faced with some big life choices, starting with moving house, buying a reliable economical car, so I did the only logical thing I could think of ...and bought a 48 Pontiac silver streak of e-bay, the first thing I've bought over the net. I've read some of you're informed comment on flat-head eights, and look forward to many happy, fruitless attempts at trouble free, cruising, and plenty of tears and skinned knuckles! But hey, "nobody ever said it would be easy - if it was, they'd all be doin' it!" Great shots of the Goodguys event, thanks for all the inspiration. best wishes from rain-soaked ol' blighty.

I just got home myself, '64.
I did manage to connect with "Old Hippie" (Jim) and enjoyed meeting him and sharing quality time "rubbernecking" with him.
That is a spectacular show and I appreciate your photography. Thanks for taking the pictures. I have a good camera but, as usual, I got so involved in looking around and in and under things that I kind of forgot to use it.
So I'm home, sunburned and hungry and tired and feeling like a jackass because I couldn't find my old Dodge for nearly an hour, but really glad I went.
I find that it's a lot easier to find one's ride when one looks in the correct parking area.
No kidding! I actually DID that.
Jim

I'd like to know how many cars were shown there today. If I had to guess I would think over 5.000. I started going to the Goodguys shows when I lived in California back in the mid 80's, and when they used to hold the event here at Southfork Ranch, They just keep getting larger.
