So we can recognize one another, what if we all wear those hats that have a couple of beercans and hoses on them?

or we can hold the little signs like were waiting outside airport, but then again with the hats we can tie one on while were waiting

What you need is Club Hot Rod t-shirt. If the "sandbar" wasn't so far away I'd try and make it. I'd sure love to see your "T" in person, Don.Ken Thomas

I will be there in my 65 custom 500 4 door,if my 55 sunliner is done in time I might take it but since the motor has only been driven about 5 miles since rebuilt I wont have time to break it in before the trip. If you see a white 65 custom 500 4 door with ohio plates it will be me. Jeff

I'll be on foot!.. Actually, I'll be in my lowered, flamed '85 Chevy truck, but it will be parked in the lot outside the front entrance. I would drive my coupe, but I can't haul a roadster body in it...Jim

Don, you just gotta get some friends who have more cars than drivers. My wife and I and her family will be there, but I am not driving either of my two cars down this year. Instead my father in law who has 6 rod and customs and only two drivers, will be sponsoring my wheels this year. Probably will be bringing his 39 Ford. That way my wife and I can get there comfortably in her Mountaineer before switching to an oldie. Besides neither of mine cars are up for a long haul this year and the wife has not been feeling well so I don't want to add to her misery.
Hotroddaddy - Thanks for the very generous offer. But hopefully we won't need to stop. We will be coming in a newer vehicle (see above) and going to my in laws Tuesday before the Run. They live in Dade City. From there we will head to Daytona. After Daytona we will spend about a week with the old folk. Hope they don't read this. Both my wife and her father are facing medical operations after the first of the year, so the itinerary is dependent on the their wellness.

I was looking at ad yesterday. Sure would like to go, but probably not this year. Good Lord willing, I am going to start making plans for next year. I would drive my 48 DeSoto, but my buddy that usually goes to shows with me will probably trailer his 49 Merc. He hardy ever drives to events over 150 miles from home. I keep telling him, he is missing the best part, but he doesn't listen. Course his Merc is a show poodle, my DeSoto is a road dog.

You're right. Guys who don't drive them miss the best part of owning a rod or custom. How many trophies do you want to dust anyway?
Would have loved to meet you there, but we wll do something like it next year too.
Don
If your wife has a friend that annoys you don't tell your wife to stop being friends with her. Just casually mention how pretty she is... .
