Finish line of the Great Race
Hey everybody,
I have about 80 pictures of the finish line of the Great Race and the car show they put on in Anaheim Ca. on 7-14-07. The Race started in North Carolina 2 weeks earlier, only stock pre 69 cars are allowed to race.
The pictures are in my CHR gallery, just click on the camera icon below my user name.
Frank Currie and grandson drove the oldest car in the race, a 1910 elder or felder or something, and the blue boat tail car with the 73 on the grill was the winner of the race.
Check out the the winning car, (the blue boat tail with the 73 on the grill), one of the pics shows the passengers navigation maps, basically they go by time and distance in a certain direction....pretty cool.
the car being pushed across the finish line is a Studebaker and finishing this race like that was completely legitimate.Last edited by knucklehead; 08-11-2007 at 03:07 PM.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
