All About Autism Car Show in Columbus, Ohio
I have been a member here for a couple of years now, since I started building my 32. I don't post a lot, just reading and searching old posts. My 12 year old son Cody, was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2. This car show is a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefitting Oakstone Academy, a school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, which Cody attends. The 2 main sponsors, Boyd's Goodyear and Glassburn Body Shop also have children at Cody's school. It's only a $10 registration fee, just hoping to get a lot of cars there for the inaugural event. Hope to see you there.

Wish I was closer!!! The shows that benefit a worthwhile charity IMO are a lot more fun then the big ones that only serve to line the promoter's pocket with $$$$$... I wish you and your son the best of luck at the show!!!! Have fun!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Just a quick reminder. The show is less than 2 weeks away.
I will be driving my nephew's 05 Blue GTO, parked next to my brother's 69 red GTO, stop by and say hi. My nephew leaves for college on Friday the 17th, and since I currently have nothing to drive, I offered to take the 05 and see what it can do(at the show and on the street!!!).Jason

I'll be swinging by, I'm in the process of changing transmission's, if the heat doesn't kill me it will be done by then. If not, I will walk over, it's only a mile.
Not to advertise another board, but for a good cause I will. The HAMB has quite a few guy's from the Columbus area. It might be a good idea to post there.

Wow !! That looks like a great show!! A tee shirt and a goody bag for a $10 registration fee for the first 250 registrants is great! I have been to only one other show that offer that combo. I think you could raise the price a little or drop the tee shirt and still get a ton of cars. I'm like Dave, charity events are my first choice over all other events, especially a charity like this one.
I wish I live closer I would surely go.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

My wife informed me that this will be a kid friendly event. Plenty of things for the young ones to do, so bring the family along. My 2 year old will be there with me. As for Cody, we'll have to see how he's doing Saturday morning. If he does come he won't be there all day, too much for him to handle.Jason

Anyone been to Oldtown V.B. carshow?
Love the old buildings in Van Buren Ark....makes a good backdrop for a car show. They usually have a good turnout, but this time was a little on the damp side....
