ATT: Northern Ky and Ohio Rodders. Rt 32 Cruise. June 26th
Scroungers Car Club is proud to host
~ Cruising Route 32 ~
Open to everyone! 2 states and loads of fun. 2 meeting places for Ky cruisers and Ohio Cruisers.
We will be meeting in Wilder, Ky at UDF
1135 Steffen Lane, Wilder, Kentucky 41076
next to I-275 at noon and leaving at 12:30 sharp. Please be gassed up and ready to go by 12:30. Our Road Captain will lead us across the Ohio River and up I-275 to the McDonalds in Eastgate
876 Eastgate Square Blvd. Cincinnati OH 45245
We will meet up with some more cruisers and will leave from there at 1 p.m. sharp. Please be gassed up and ready to go. We will pull out on Rt 32 and will be driving at a max speed of 55 mph. We are in no hurry. Geared cars are more than welcome. We won't run off and leave you doing 80 + mph. We will have one gas stop while on Rt 32. Our distination is about and hour drive from the McDonalds. It is a farm that has been converted to sell garage items instead of corn. Gas pumps, oil cans, old signs, antique furniture, stain glass windows, old toys, pinball games, railroad stuff, wrought iron fence and more. He had a couple old cars and a fire truck for sale last time too. You name it and if it's old it's there. Besides the cool stuff you get to look at, the farm is full of peacocks strutting around and flying over your head. Place has something for everyone. Best of all everything is for sale!
After everyone gets their fill of the farm we will head back down Rt. 32 just a couple miles to a coney place to eat. You have to have 3 ways or cheese conies on a road trip. After our meal we will head down State Route 41. Our next stop is Blakes Pharmacy. It's a small town drug store that still has it's soda fountain in the rear of the store. It is still working today! Most new hot rodders have never been in a real soda fountain shop and the old timers will love the memories of days gone by. Here the kicker, Blakes Pharmacy and Soda Shop still sell 5 cent cokes (10 cents if flavored.)
After we leave the drug store we are heading south on State Route 41 and will come out on Rt 52 along the Ohio River. There is a gas station right at that cross road where we will stop and gas up again. Sorry some guys have small tanks and get 8MPG. After gassing up we are heading back into Kentucky. We will either go across the bridge into Maysville or run on down to the fairy and cross over the river on it. It all depends on how many cars we have at that time. Making it back into Ky we will travel on Rt 8 along the river. Nice shade tree road with a nice cool breeze from the river as you cruise along. Making it back down to where we started we will jump over Junction 1998 and back down to the UDF where we started from.
This is a long haul and if you don't run the entire run I'm sure you will miss out on some things. But with so many hot rodders living around and spread out we understand if you don't want to come back into Ky and would rather head back down Rt. 32, or meeting up with us along the way. No matter what you are welcome.
Any car, truck or ? Late model car or old hot rod, it doesn't matter. Young , old, woman or man. You are welcome. You don't have to be a member of the club to do the run. This is not something that happens often. You won't find too many cruises like this. We don't own trailer queens. We drive our hot rods and this is what this run is all about. If someone breaks down we will get you going! We won't leave you in the middle of the woods with banjo's playing.(unless you want us to)
