Hot Rod Power Tour 2014
Hey guys. Do any of you plan to hit the power tour this year? My plan is to meet it at Bettendorf Iowa on Thursday the 11th and go on up to the Wisconsin Dell's as it ends there on Friday. Hopefully I'll be traveling with a few buddies and my brother will drive one of my rides as well. Who thinks they're going to make it? Maybe we can have a CHR meet at one or both stops?Ryan

Long ways away yet Ryan.... A number of us have been talking about it... Would be an easy trip, plus the fact that being in the Dells on a Friday isn't a bad place to be, either!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I did the complete Power Tour in 2011 from Florida to Detroit. Something neat and different to do. We rushed to make sure we got our paperwork signed off at each stop so we could get into the GM proving grounds for the final stop which was suppose to be only for those that made the complete trip. But when we got to Detroit everyone was allowed in as they didn't check our paperwork at all. If you had a power tour sticker in your window you were in. And the long haul prizes ended up just being some posters and 2 dollar trinkets so we were really sad we rushed every day just for that. Doing it again we will just take our time and really enjoy the drive each day and not worry about getting to the destination in time to get our paperwork stamped for the long hauler final day entrance. Would have enjoyed stopping more often during the days and talking to fellow rodders more. We are planning on starting in Charlotte this year and going over to Knoxville but no further. When they do one that starts and/or stops closer to Florida we will do the whole trip again.http://www.daytonagary.com

We are thinking about going, but just from Norwalk to Indiana. I'm saving up for an overdrive so we can do the long haul next time that they head toward the north east.

I have a buddy that has drove to the start and done the complete trip the last 3 or 4yrs. He's a farmer so time off is no issue in the summer. HahaRyan
