Thanks for posting and yes, an amazing range of vehicles and bikes. The weather was kind too and I noticed you didn't find a nice shady spot for the Ford. Did the " Rat " sedan drive in or was it trailed ? Certainly lowered the tone of the whole show. I was interested in the flat deck truck with miniture tractor etc on the back, looked real cool and different.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Mark, that green and yeller (John Deere) stake bed was immaculate in every detail and the miniature tractors and brush hawgs were made from wood and perfect in every detail right down to the three point hitch. I had a brief conversation with the Gentleman responsible for that beauty and he said he'd been messing with that kind of stuff since he was 14. Didn't see the owner of the Flatbed or I would have pestered him some also. LOL Those Rat's are sitting on air bags and I was really surprised to find out that they were built and owned by an old friend (see group photo). The young man on my immediate left used to ride my Molly Mule in the Youth classes in all of the Donkey and Mules Shows I used to compete in. He is a full time mechanic and has his own shop now. - - - strange world ain't it??? The long haired dude on my right is his Dad and also a good friend. His wife and her parents were very close friends of mine via the Donkeys and Mules and I used to do all of their Farrier work also.Last edited by MelloYello; 10-18-2014 at 04:50 PM.

Sorry Emm, are you telling me that all thatfarming gear on the back of the Stake Bed Truck are made of WOOD !! ? Heck, amazing and I'm now going back to study them again with whole new appreciation. Coll that you meet up with old friends from the past and it sounds as if the young man has worked hard to get to where he is and his ability to build that car proves he is on the right track. We just have to educate him now into refining the build to the stage that it needs shiny paint and finished upholstery.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Yes indeedy, except for the bolts and nuts and the chain, I'm almost positive that the rest is Wood.
Speaking of the young mechanic Rat Rodder, he specializes in blower installation and has a pretty good "Normal" Street Rod clientele, so I am told. That's how he got by with that Funky Intake that I did a close up on. Gotta admit he had me going for a minute but with my eyes that's not too hard to do these daze!
