    lssra state run

     



    this years state run will be just down the road from me. granbury is a fun place. the square is full of antiques and good food . the run will be held in the park across from the new Hilton hotel on the lake . make plans for this one and stop by and say hi to the porchdog ! i promise i dont bite

    The 80 is nice, the 100... idk.. when we lived in Alamogordo NM, it would be 108 to 110 but no humidity so you only noticed the heat briefly, it would still kick my butt if I didn't keep hydrated, but, it wasn't like when we lived in Boonville IN ( right next to Evansville) over there it was air you can wear all summer! I hated it!

    Lots dryer in that region. Tends towards, "...but it's a dry heat.." which is still hot, but not quite as uncomfortable, IMO.

    I had a Tee shirt that had 2 skeletons resting against cactus plants.... and it had the same caption.. "Yeah, but it's a dry heat"!

    well the weather is going to be dry . looks like partly cloudy and around 90 degrees. little warm but beat rain or 105 .
    there will be parking on the grass, lots of shade trees if you get there first
    i am taking my 10x20 awning and big fan .

    it should be a good time. it was moved from waco to fredricksburge so it lost a number of cars. long haul for folks in n texas. plus it is open to 72 now. the park in waco has been completely redone. maybe it will go back .
