Valve Springs
Since I don't want my stock valve springs to float at around 4,000-4,500rpm's, I have heard that stock Lincoln/Zephyr springs are good for 6,000rpm's or better. If so I can get a set and wanted to know if this is correct. I plan to run my flattie at rpm's of no higher than 6,000. Also does anyone know if ford or mercury used adjustable tappets?Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

If you're serious about that kind of rpm, leave the stock lifters in there. The adjustables are great, but they're heavier and lead to earlier valve float. Save your money for some con rods.
Great to see your new post, Mike, and great to see CHR up and running again after several days of the Hmmm, can't reach this page.... Also good that you found an easy solution to your storage/access...
