    Newer ford engine

I have in my possesion a 5.4 Liter ford engine that came out of a 2002 f-250 it has fuel injection with the 2wd transmission attached to it. The engine has around 150,000 miles anyone have any idea the value of it. Also could i put an intake and a carb and do away with the fuel injection or is that not possible.

possible but you need a stand alone ignition controller for the coil packs. I think MSD sells 1, not shure. trans is also another obstacle ( computer controlled ). not shure on value, but probably somewhere in the 2-4k range
You don't know what you've got til it's gone

There's a company making the carb intake and set up for the 5.4's, though unless you are going all out competition on it, why would you want to do away with the EFI???? They work great!!! The ecm, with a tuneup, will support in excess of 500 hp with a blower on it.....

there are harnesses available, you should try to get the harness from the truck it came from, or a similar truck complete with the ECM. I've found a lot of good information on these engines at www.modularfords.com . FAST and a few other companies have all the electronic goodies.
