Flat head rebuild, resources?
Hi.
I am starting a restoration of a 36 ford pick up.
It has a 48 mercury flat head.
I want to have it rebuilt, reliable, decent power.
Need a competent, reputable builder.
I have a box around here somewhere with several stromberg 97's, and a offenhauser dual carb intake.
I would like to install polished edelbrock or ? heads.
Ideas for resources would be appreciated.
Thanks,

If you are looking for a top notch rebuild, these guys are one source. Never heard anything but praise from anyone.

I have a 46 Ford flathead that I wanted freshened up and my local machinist told me not every one was set up to do these, especiallly right. I guess being an old engine and all most machine shops are better suited to doing modern ohv engines.
Here is the one Gastrick on here had built by H an H..........what's not to like?
