Valve Reliefs
Anyone ever heard of Hudson 7x racing engines? Ever tried to apply the valve reliefs to other flattties? I'm doing this to my 1953 327 Packard inliner 8 and am thinking that this has got to improve breathing. If not check out Uncommon Engineering on the web. Pretty amazing things going on there!Nothing in life's free.....What can't be bought can usually be stolen.....

Relieving is an age old flathead hop up trick. Even the Beach Boys immortalized it: "......she was ported and relieved and she's stroked and bored.....".
And the 7X (early '50's NASCAR championship material) might look something like this.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
