    Which oil pan?

I just stuffed a 460 into my '74 Ranchero. I used Crites motor mounts to make things go a little easier. Problem is, there seems to be a clearance issue between the frame and the oil pan. The engine was previously installed in a truck, but I have no idea what it was originally installed in. Is there an oil pan that will fit? Also, can I install the engine with headers installed? There seems to be very little room to fir them after the engine goes in.

You'll need the passenger car pan, they are different.... As for the Headers, set them in the car before you lower the engine in and start a bolt on either end of both flanges before you set the engine in the mounts.

check the junk yards for a 74-78 vintage lincoln with a big block as they are usually easy to find and that pan will work. put the headers in first then lower the engine......ask me how i know lol good luck on it
