    carb

Well an 1850 a 600cfm vac secondary unit that should work just fine on your 429. Depending on what intake manifold you have you may need an adapter to fit it on. Just make sure the float level is set. Take the screw on the side of the bowl off and the gas should be just at the bottom of the threds. If you need adjust the level, loosen the screw and nut on top of the bowl and turn the nut to adjust. As far as the idle mixture, once the engine is warm turn each screw one at a time until the engine starts to run rough, then turn out about a half a turn. Then set your base idle speed to about 600 rpm in drive with a/c on if you have it. That should about get it.
