Thanks for the info , I just got a new XE 274H-10 Comp cam with double springs . I had roller rockers on the 460 heads but they only had a 5/16ths
screw in stud and they won't handle that much lift . I'm pretty sure I'll need
new rocker arms I just need to find out which ones . Any info on that would be appreciated too .

    Thanks ,

    Bill

That cam is pushing it on the pedestal-style valve train, but can be made to work if properly set up. I have a similar cam beneath D3VE heads and OEM valve trian, and the engine runs fine.

But the rocker arms that you need tor the D0VE heads will be aftermarket 7/16" stud applicable, ideally. This will require 7/16" roller rocker studs, pushrod guide-plates, hardened pushrods, etc. Trimming down the valve guides so as to increase guide-to-retainer clearance is a good idea while the heads are being prepped, but not necessarily mandatory with that particular cam. Crane Gold Series or Ford Racing rockers would be your best bet in rocker arms, and there are others such as Scorpions. STAY AWAY for the cheapo Ebay rocker arms! Lastly, you will need to establish proper rocker arm geometery with your new valve train, and will likely need longer-than-stock pushrods...and the exhaust pushrods will likely need to be longer than the intake pushrods due to the valve train layout on these engines.
