    High volume water pump

    Stupid question#2
I have a weiand water pump which did not come with any backing plate. It is going on a 1971 Lincoln 460. Does it need a backing plate and if so where do I get one. I went to Summit and it has no info for the need of a backing plate. Weiand is closed for the day, so if you've been here and done that, jump in. I'm in the middle of putting my long block together with all the new parts.

    Weiand says:
"Does not include backing plate. Must re–use stock backing plate or purchase Ford backing plate P/N C8SZ–8508A."
