Should bolt up to any 429/460, but make sure the configuration and size of the ports match up with whatever head you plan to use. I am told that if the carb studs are for a spread-bore carb, then the manifold came on a CJ. If they are for a square-bore carb, then it's a SCJ intake.

Square bore means that the primaries and secondaries are the same size.

Spread bore means that the secondaries are considerably larger than the primaries.

It is a direct bolt-on fit. The ports on that intake manifold are larger than the ports on the TJ heads, but it bolts up fine and offers up more power on a TJ engine than the TJ intake.

According to Ford, when installed onto the 460 Marine engine they see a claimed 30 hp gain in the upper rpm range.

Whether or not you port match the TJ cylinder head's intake runners to the CJ intake depends entirely on the application. Sometimes it helps power and sometimes it hurts it. Given the use of a stock 429 engine in a 4x4 truck, I would say leave the TJ intake ports as they are and keep the port velocity; the increased plenum volume of the CJ intake is what will give you you overall power increase.

    Noel t,

Please re-read post #7 above. If you port the heads, DO NOT port match the cylinder head's intake runners to the SCJ intake manifold's portsize.

With ported C8VE heads (with stock valves) and the addition of an SCJ intake, you might gain 40+ hp grand total. More is possible with knowledgable porting, a well matched combo, and really good tune.

When fiittng the D0OE-9425-C SCJ ntake to the passenger car heads, use FelPro #1231 intake manifold gasket.
