    1405 edelblock fit a 460

Would that fit a 460. The seller in the add said I would need an adapter for the throttle if I had an auto trans. Would this give me better gas mileage? Would 200 be a good buy? The truck is stock 1978 F350. It looks like it might be a 600cfm. Would I be better off with an 850

1405 is a "universal fit" 600 cfm unit. It is a manual choke and jetted richer than the 1406. It will run fine on your 460, but will certainly be a noticeable difference from your stock as it is smaller.

As to th automatic transmission - depends on the linkage - but should be fairly straight forward to hook up.

They're $250 new, so $200 used is a bit much IMHO.

Frigerator I'm using a 1407 on my 460, 750cfm, no special adapter when used with the performer manifolds.

I don't run chokes on any of my Edelbrock carbs, I don't have a problem in Florida, maybe in the north but not down here.
