    Starting problems

     



    After installing new pre 70's T-chain and gears into a'77 460 engine
    i cant seem to get the engine to start.
    I NEED HELP SOON PLEASE

    Is the timing pointer on tdc when #1 is at TDC? Do you have spark???

    The reason is that the T-chain is not matching with the engine.

    Did you line up the marks on the old assembly before you removed it? That way you don't have to turn anything to put the new one on. If you turned the crank and cam after disassembly, you might be half a turn out on the distributor. Swap all the wires directly across the cap from where they are now, it should fire up.
