D0VE-A is the block engineering revision of your cylinder block and is for the 1970 model year and most of 1971, too. 1970 & 1971 429's were Thunderjets. The engineering revsion of the heads are on the outside of the heads, between the 3rd and 4th exhaust port and for a T-jet should read as D0VE-C.
