Got the other numbers from the fe block. still cant find out for sure what it is. C3AE-6015-H. Maybe someone might know. Any idea? Thanks,Ben

Ben there have been a few of these blocks around lately. Most books list the block as a 63 390. However the blocks I've seen have been solid lifter blocks with the 406/427 oil pressure releif valve. Also the crossbolt bosses are present but undrilled with two bolt main caps. One had really thick cyl walls and was a 427 bore. Some beleive this casting to be a 406 service block but not totally positive myself. Also these blocks did not have the common HP cast in and outside the block found in production 390HP, 406 and early 427 blocks. Refresh me on this.... is this in a car running or are you looking at the bare block? G.
