    Can't ID this "352"

Well I picked up a 1967 352 FE motor the other day but I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly it is....

The numbers on the front of the intake are:
    T 6L15 C7TE9425E

    Numbers on left exhaust manifold:
    C5TE 9430 C DF 2 T

Numbers stamped on right side of block towards the top front:
    6L18 1

Numbers stamped on left side of block under Exh. manifold:
    06ME-A

It has a 2 barrel intake with a governor on it. It also had a aluminum tag under the coil but I seem to have misplaced that! I really want to know what this engine is so I re-build and put into my 56' Ford Mainline.

-Thanks for the help! - Chris

Thanks for the info. Now what I need to know is the rest of the specs if possible. Also, what can i put into this thing for cranks/rods/etc to stroke it without a buttload of machine work? I had a 390 that was bored .125 over and had a nice stroker but I cracked the cylinder wal because it was so thin from the boring.... Damn was that a motor!

This 352 is going to replace the current 351C in my 56' Ford. I chose this motor because of the torque it puts out... Gotta love the high torque AMERICAN engines!

RP is correct that the TE in the casting numbers does represent a truck application. Plus the governor is a giveaway. C6ME-A block is one of the generic casting numbers Ford used. This means the same casting numbers were used on different bore FE/FT blocks. It has a 68 date code though. 6L18:1 is 68/Nov/18th 1st shift. Probably a 360 or 390. See what numbers are on the crank and rods. Also take off a head and measure the cyl bore. It's pretty straight forward. Let us know what you find and I can ID them for ya. Crank numbers are on the edge of the 3rd counterweight from the front snout. Look for a 2T, 2TA, 2U, 3U or similar. Rods numbers are on the sides. Also post your head numbers. They are between the center two spark plugs. G.

Those are the only numbers i can currently get. This engine is definatly not a 3360 or 390. The tag under the coil said it was a 1967 352... I just wanted to know what it was out of and other info.

I believe a 390 crank, rods, and pistons will fit in place of the 352 stuff. The 352 and 390 blocks are identical, but the 390 has a longer stroke.

It might be out of a F100 or F250 I'd have to guess. Sorry I had ovelooked the "352" in the topic header. Also the date code is 66 not 68 like I stated earlier...sorry bout that. The blocks are pretty much the same as 76GMC stated only difference is the 352 has a 4.00 bore and the 390 a 4.05. Both shared the same block only a different bore. What other info do you need?? G.
