lifters?
ok i just tore down my '65 352 and pulled one of the lifters to see if they are soild or hydraulic. there is no hole where the push rod seats for oil and the push rods have no hole going through them for oil either but on the sides of the lifter there are holes are these lifters solid or not i know from my experience with chevy that if they have a hole where the pushrod seats then they are hydraulic.
thanks

It sounds like they are hyd lifters. Solids look like little dumb bells. Hyd lifters have a taper about 1/4' from the top and the oil hole is in this area. Some shell style solid lifters have no taper and the oil hole is farther down closer to the bottom. Most 352's are hyd lifter blocks also. But the galleys can be plugged for solids if you wish.
