    help wont start!?

     



    my friend has a 67 ford f-250 camper special 390 fe 2 bbl c-4. and it will not start. its not getting any spark or fuel. changed the battery, messed around with the sylenoid and the relays still nothing, also checked all fuel lines. what the heck!?....... also it has 2 tanks but two switches one says up and down the other says left and right which ones which?

    both tanks have gas <he just wanted to know whichs ones are for which> coil has zero spark. the motor wont even turn over no clicking nothing. cap n rotor havent been checked yet but the coil doesnt even spark.

    I agree with Mr Mustang (mr. Bill). First get on the crank with a n inch and 1/8 socket (after pulling the plugs) to see if the motor will turn over. dang, wait a minute, is that a 15/16ths socket. Man it's late and I can't remember.

    working with a mighty small socket on such a big motor there, oldf100!!!

    No sweat Mike, you are forgiven.

    But I do believe it is a 15/16th inch socket. If it was darker than heck, I could go out to the pickup and see which one I've got setting out there.

    he didnt want to spend any money on this particular motor. he just wants to get it to my house and thought it was just something simple. he wants to put a 460 in it lol im just a guidance im going to make him do it all so he can learn lol

    if hes too cheap to spend $8 on a solenoid, then run a wire from the battery to the coil and jump a wire from the battery to the starter.... should get her to fire up if the starter will go...... btw i do not condone hot wiring cars and no way in any part hold any legal responsability for posting this information online
