    Vacuum Advance

Howdy all. Where can I buy a replacment vacuum advance pot for my distributor (1965 352FE, vacuum advance, pertronix upgrade). I think that it is starting to show its age. I have looked, but cant seem to find anyone who sells a FE application. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

C'mon, guys. I can't believe that no-one has not had to replace one of these. Aftermarket part number? Anything?

You'll need the dist # like Denny said. I found them at O'Reilly auto parts.

Take your distributor number to any parts store with a real counterman and he'll be able to fix you up. Or, go with one of the aftermarket units with adjustable vacuum advance...

ya know its getting harder and harder to find a real counterman these days.... most places either have kids that only know about hondas and even then barely that, and also only know how to kinda look in the computer, and they ussually suck at that.... very few stores around with guys that know what those big square things full of paper are for, i think its because as cost of living is going up... wages seem to stay the same or even go down....(could be related with that whole border issue thing)

I use O'Reilly's a lot, not much choice, and I print out everything I want so that the idiot behind the counter can't make a mistake.

Alright! Thank you for the replies. This gives me a road to follow. My parts guy is fairly good, but this one has been a no go... Much thanks!

dont have O'Reillys here, our main places here are Kragen which is ok, autozone which sucks, worldwide which is good or at least was(carquest just bought them so we'll see what happens with that) and pep boys which really sucks....luckily i have access to Wabco, but they're a pain in the ass cause they cant ever bring the right parts the first time... but its nice to have your parts delivered to you
