C5AE means 1965 Ford car engine. Ford changed the bolt pattern in '65.

No it's a FE. Just a later engine. The date code is 64/Oct/14th. 63 and earlier blocks just have 2 motor mount holes. 64 and later 4 bolt holes. Heads and intake are lowrisers. Intake has a 64/Dec/?? could be 30 instead of the 80 you posted. The last 2 numbers are the day of the month it was cast. The heads date codes are under the VC's between the center 2 valve springs. 60 days between the block and intake. I doubt it's original to the block. You'd have to see what DC the heads are and piece it together. Things moved along pretty quick back then. Still tho the right parts are there.

Hi Denny, K is October. Ford used letters A-M for date codes skipping the letter "I" as it could be confused for a "1".
RC sounds like a really nice car!! Most FE's these days you find are pieced together. With rebuilds, warranty and service replacements very few you come across are original. Hey good luck with the ol Gal... 62's are sweet rides!!
These sites might have the weather stripping you need.

Crites might not have it but they have some cool parts.Last edited by FFR428; 07-28-2007 at 12:58 PM.

I agree they have front and rear seats and pretty much most of the interior stuff. If your looking for good original try a WTB ad at www.fordfe.com or the GCOA in the classifieds section. You might get a few leads there.

If you're interested, the annual swap meet at the fairgrounds here in Springfield will be the 24th through the 26th of August. A lot of different vendors attend and the place is pretty packed. Unless it's changed from last year, it's free to get in and the parking is reasonable.Ken Thomas
