I have one sitting in the old shed out back at the farm. It is destined for a 60's syle 32 Coupe one of these days. One more project in the "round to it" file. !!!!

    Almost

This started out life as a 352. After sonic checking I considered going to a 406, but after checking availability and price of 406 pistons I only went .110 over instead of .130

With the 390 crank and rods (and +.060 390 pistons) it comes out to 401 +. The rotating assembly has been balanced and provides a true 9 to 1 compression. The heads have been gone thru with new valves, hardened seats, new springs etc. It's got a mild cam and the oil system has the recommended mods.

The intake is a 62 T Bird tri-power unit that has been fitted with Rochester carbs and uses a Mallory dual point distributor.

After selling the 61 T Bird it was going in it sat on the stand unfired for the last 5 years or so.

This spring it will finally get a home. A 64 Ford Custom 2dr Sedan. I'm still debating on either the factory cast iron headers or aftermarket. Decisions decisions.
