The 410 that was in the edsels back then was called an E475 that made 475 torque at some very low rpm
It was a member of the MEL series that also included the 383 mercury and 430 lincoln
The combustion chambers were in the block like the 409 chevs with the head being flat

Had one in a 55 ford that I later put in my 59 ford 2 door ex deptment of agriculture biz coupe with a 4 speed from a 62---was never beat with it, ran it in A/mp as I could run slicks in that class

I saw an Edsel setting on a trailer last night, think I'll go look at it after while---
