---390 pistons in my 410?---
Hey guys I have a true 410 that has broken piston skirts. Can I use 390 pistons? If 390 pistons will not work, were can i get some? I need all the help I could get...Thanks!!!Last edited by FORD_MAN78; 11-22-2009 at 07:47 AM.

i think trw still has forged pistons for the 410,but check with local parts store. 390 has a shorter stroke thus different pistons

410 is different stroke. 390 piston will hit head. summit.

Either use cast pistons or dedicated forgings.
Both F-M and Silvolite offer a cast one that'll work, or Probe has a fairly priced forged one.Survival Motorsports

the low compression ford 390 truck piston has the same compression hieght as a 410

a 410 eng. has 390 piston.352 rods and a 428 cranck.
The first model car I built was a 32 Ford roadster by Revell in the mid 50's.
How did you get hooked on cars?
