    if you had an overheating problem 20 minutes of ideling would def show it .. as long as it cools a bit when you get moving you`re ok .. and being a fresh motor will make it a bit warmer for a while
    iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

    Thanks buddy for the advice. I think I will keep going with out doing anything to the engine.

    Are the head gaskets in the correct direction? Block off ends to the front.

    Yes I recheck that looking photos of the assembly of the engine.

    Are you using a shroud on your rad? If the temperature comes back down when you drive, it would indicate an air flow problem when idling. A shroud will improve that.
