Got my Rebuild in and Happy with the Results
Just thought Id share, the headers I purchased are a really tight fit but are the only ones that are built specifically for the 66 thunderbird. I actually ended up having to fab 1/4" engine mount spacers to raise up the engine to give the headers the clearance I was happy with from the inner fenders.

That Bird is sharp! I've always liked the slender rear styling of those cars.

Dave, the hard fast rule I've seen is that if you are selling it, it's a 428, if you are buying it, it's a 390.

LOL its a 390. Put an RV cam into it, Allum pistons, Performer intake port matched the heads & rebuilt them. Nothing super crazy, its a cruzer not a drag car and I just wanted it reliable.
Rims are 20x10 rear/18x8 front Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs custom made for the car, fitting rims over the huge calipers that came on these cars is a nightmare.
