Degreeing an FE Camshaft
Hello:
I am building a 390 and am degreeing the cam. In other engines I've done, I just used the standard intake-centerline method. However, it has been awhile since I built an FE motor. Is there anything different or specific I should know about degreeing an FE camshaft?
I am using cylinder #1, finding TDC and then zeroing my degree wheel and finding the degrees at .050 of each side of maximum lift adding these two and dividing by 2 to hit my cam card's intake centerline of 105.
Is there anything different with an FE?
Thanks,
Jeff
My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
