    antifreeze or oil

I have been notices I have a small leak around two inches in under the drivers side head. This is oil. Now if the head is leaking wouldnt it be antifreeze instead of oil. I think the leak is behind the intake corner and it is running down on the side of the block. I need some expert advice on this the dye I put end hasnt taken affect yet. This is a 62 fe390 engine and its a new short block and the heads were milled also. Larry

Probably leaking where the intake meets the block??? FE's like to leak oil there, have to be very careful when installing the intake to keep it leak free!

My 390 fe leaks all kinds of oil out of the intake. It looks like it's comign out of the head gasket, but it is from the intake and runs down.

It is also a pain because you have to take the pushrods out in order to change the intake seal. It's a pain, I did it once already and held for only about six months. I used to drive her every day. Now I'm back to an old chevy, intake seal takes about 30 minutes to do.
