I need 390 crank and rods
I'm looking to get a 390 crank ond rods off someone who is willing to sell. I know how much they are worth so please don't try to selling me a line. From a 63 or 64 block would be best since they will be going into my 64 352. I know I know, "just get a 390 and be done with it" is what some will say, but I'm a purist and want to keep the original engine, just make her purr a little nicer. Any offers feel free to post or email me at mylogansdad@comcast.net Thanks!!

I have a 1965 390 with a cracked block. I wouldn't want to sell you a line. "I am not a crook" I have no Idea what they're worth so you'll have to set the price. If you make it worth my time I'll tear down the engine." Im gone'

Birchy, feel free to respond.
Does anybody besides Birchyman know what they are worth?
I'm not sure he's going to tell me." Im gone'

Sorry
Sorry about taking a while to respond I dont check my mail very often. I just didn't want someone coming on here saying they got a nice crank and rods for $1000 or something like that. I know you can get a brand new crank and rods from Summit for somewhere in the ballpark of $500. There is a junkyard here near me that offered me a frozen total 390 engine for $800 (but I had to take the Edsel it is in with me) I tried looking on auction sites to see what the going rate is but didn't find any. I found rods on Ebay starting at 5.00, but who knows what they'll end up. how about we do this in all fairness. We'll let the people on this board tell us what they're worth and we'll talk about it after that. Sound fair? This should be interesting. Thanks for the response!

Since you asked, I'd think a set of used rods are worth $50 and a crank $100.

I think the price is about right. I just bought a 66 390 engine w/ c-6 tranny in rough but running shape for $275.00........
