I just found out that I had been sold the incorrect carb gasket on this setup. THe one I just bought would basically go all the way around the outer border like a picture frame. The one that was on there appears to have been blocking much needed vacuum routings. It was a solid gasket with 4 holes in it the same size as the ports on the carb. I feel so stupid yet relieved as I think this is going to help solve some problems.
