Where the crap is my block part number!?!
And please don't tell me to measure the bore of the engine to find out what it is. I found the production tags, where when, etc, but cant find the stinking part number!! On the crank either! Someone please help a blind fool! Thanks

On the crank it's on the number 1 or and 7 counterweight in most cases. Some cranks do not have a Ford number but a "2U" or "3U" or IU, IUB, IUA, B, A etc... Look for some numbers and letters and post what they are. The block casting number should be on the side of the block above the oil filter mount. If your block has the ribs on the outside there is a chance it's a service block which has no casting numbers but should have the date code. If I remember your block is a 62? It should have the 2 bolt motor mounts. If it has the 4 bolt and ribs it might be a service block if no casting number is found. Keep in mind some blocks had the same casting numbers like the 390/428 and 353/427 etc... If it's a 62 it should have a C2 number and date code. G.
