302 Laying down
Help!
I have a 302 bored .060 over.
Mild cam
Edelbrock intake
Edelbrock 650 CFM 4 barrel carb
Headers
MSD 6ALN box
Automatic
79 F100
Was getting on the highway and had it to the floor, went through all the gears fine, when I reached about 65 it was like someone turned the switch off. It came back, pulled a little bit and did it again. I let off the throttle a little and then floored it again, same thing. If I am not all the way into the carb the engine pulls fine, seems that the problem is only when I am in WOT.
If I shift to first and floor from a dead stop it it pulls like crazy all the way up till the MSD kicks in and starts dropping cylinders like it is suppose to.
What is causing this???????

But the box works if I don't shift.
It will bang the limiter just like it's suppose to.
It only does it when I am at WOT and letting the truck go through the gears

I had that same problem in my truck. I know how frustrating that is but when u go thru all the gears u give the motor the
chance to empty your float bowls your pump is prolly not enough

383 might have some thing. You might have to adjust the float in the bowls. Also check the fuel filters.

I'm using a mech pump.
I will check the filters and make sure I don't have a clog.
