Engines interchangeable w/ Ford 223 6 cyl??
Are there any other ford 6 cylinder engines that are interchangeable with the 223. I need to find another engine to put in my 54 ford that currently has a dead 223 6 cylinder.
This might be a funny question to you pros, but I am new to this stuff.
(I am currently building my very first car... a 1954 Ford and I need all of the help I can get.)
Thanks so much!

Not sure what will interchange, but a 300 ci six cylinder and matching transmission would make a good swap. Would be just about as easy to go with a V-8 and automatic for the conversion. I am not sure, but you might want to check with a company called "Trans Dapt", or check out the "Speedway Motors" catalog for needed components for the swap.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
