valve adjustment on a 351
i have just put new heads on my ford 351 and need som help on the valve adjustment like, how i do it ,tools neaded ,and good advice

its a 351 pro boss gt-40 i dont now the year of the engien not the orginal in my mustang 65 but runds werry good i can find out the year later to day

Very likely u have only to run the fasteners down on the rockers and be done.Choose your battles well===If it dont go chrome it

Now I’m in despair I have tree different ways to adjust the valves
1. says that you turn the engine too the exhorts valve start to move and then tighten the intake valve and when the intake is almost don you tighten the exhorts valve
2. says that you use a moment first 17 ft.in and then 23
3. is the this one witch colt be right I just need a little more info please

The best way to adjust them is while the engine is running. Back the nut off until you hear the famous valve tick, then tighten 1/2 to 3/4 turn. I prefer 1/2 on mine but that may be because it's a little tired.
