    351 carb Questions

ok I just found a 1977 Ford F100 Ranger XLT Long bed. It has been sitting in barn for 13 years or so and the guy can't get it started he says the carb is getting the fuel but it isnt going into the port. the stock carb is gone and a 4barrel holly sits in its place on top of an aluminim Intake manifold. i am trying to figure out how much money it will take to get it started the guy doesn't want more than 50 to 100 bucks. i am going to buy it just because you can scrap it for more than 50 or sell it. the truck is very nice very little rust at all just the cab corners and the bottom of the bed. how much do you think it is worth.

    thanks
    Kyle

Around here, a truck like that would easily fetch $1,000

A new card will run you about $400 for a nice Edlebrock, and they are easier to keep tuned than a Holly. You might get a very good running truck for under a $1000 when it is all said and done.

actually if super shops reopened in your state like they just did in california... you can score an edlebrock 600cfm 4bbl for $260 right now... they're having a big sale right now...

apparently your autozone is a lot cooler than mine... all the stores here charge about $400-450 for new edelbrocks.... and that $260 from supershops is for a brand new

Probably 6-8 degrees BTDC. That's a safe timing figure for most Ford engines. of course it'd help to know what engine was in it.
