1/8 mile times
Hey Guys,
My little 302 ran a 8.58 @ 85 mph with a 2.01 60ft time. I'm going to the track Sunday again with a different throttle linkage so I hope to be able to get that time down. I seems like my secondaries where not opening all the way. I don't drag race much but is this time about right for my mph or should it be faster time wise.

Sounds about right to me. Way back in the old days i ran an 8:48 and I think the MPH was 87 also. Don't remember what the 60ft. time was.Originally posted by dennis kelley

My panel truck was a little on the heavy side, wasn't too aerodynamic but had good low end torque. So that might account for the time difference.Originally posted by pro70z28

The mods are a heads cam and intake. It is in a cobra kit car. The MPH seem fine but the time seem slow. But its a bear to launch

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
