The 302 came out in 1968, and was made up until the early or mid 90's i believe. Not sure wherer they made them all, but i think the Windsor Ontario plant made them...if i am wrong i will be corrected...

I have no books on teh numbers for Fords. You might search teh web to see what you find. I find Chevy numbers there all the time.

Yep, 68 it started, 95 was last year. My memory is not totally shot!

It states they were made at Windsor, as well as elsewhere.

ok this is simple, on your heads, block,&intake is a code that is easy to read heres an example on my heads right above the exuast ports is this code (DOVE C)the first letter is the decade and right next to it is the year itwas made,I'll make easy for you,A=1940,B=1950,C1960,D=1970,and so on.I'm not sure what rest of the copde is but this is a quik way to determine the year of a ford motor

The V8 explorer used the 302 up until 97 I think. I do know that there were some '97 F250 LD trucks that got 302s as well.

There should be a date code on the block, heads, and some of the other parts. it would look something like this: 6D15

I know they used the 5.0 (302) in the Explorer until at least 98 because my oldest sons has one. (He lives in San diego, but it was an option through the U. S. at least through 98)
